Korean & Latin American Film Screening takes place the next two weeks in Madrid!

After the success of Argentina last year as a guest country, the Korean Cultural Center in Madrid organizes the second edition of its film series that incorporates Korean and Latin American films. This contest has Colombia as a special participant.

Under the motto: “The vision of women in the cinema”, they seek to give visibility to the cinematographic work carried out by women by the hand of four films signed by Colombian and South Korean rulers.

The festival takes place joining three nations from three different continents, but with great links between them. Thus, Colombia chose South Korea to be the first Asian country with which to sign a Free Trade Agreement. In addition, it was the only state in Latin America that sent troops to the Korean War conflict in 1950. And, of course, Colombia treasures a large community in Spain, a country of which it was a part of the past and with which historical, cultural ties join it, social and religious.
