The rise of Korean culture internationally, better known as Korean Wave, is conquering all the countries in the world. Spain, in particular, has become one of the countries that consume and enjoys everything related to the entertainment, music, beauty, sport and culture of that country. The first edition of Echoes from Korea was born from this great interest and desire to consume, in order to promote Korean culture in Madrid with a multitude of activities and workshops.
The event will take place next Saturday, October 19 at the Pangea The Travel Store from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The entrance to the event will be totally free until full capacity is reached.
‘ECOS DE KOREA’ has many surprises prepared for all attendees. During the day you can enjoy different activities by different luxury guests. We leave you the details of the event schedule, which is subject to change, below:
17:00 - 17:15 PROJECTION
A promotional video of the activities of the Korean Cultural and Tourism Center in Korea will be screened.
17:15 - 18:00 KOREAN KITCHEN WORKSHOP
Attendees will learn together with the Korean chef of the AKMA B O B restaurant to prepare one of the most typical snacks of Korean food: Bap-gochi (밥 꼬치) and Tteokbokki (떡볶이). At the end of the workshop there will be a tasting of it.
18:00 - 18:50 K-BEAUTY TALKS
It will be held in the main stage area and there will be two presentations on Korean cosmetics and skin care. In them, Emma Unnie, influencer of K-Beauty, and Sunny Cho, one of CEOs of the cosmetics company KOSS. Both will teach us the tricks to have perfect skin.
18:50 - 19:00 TRADITIONAL DANCE FUNCTION
The DWD Spain group, a Spanish group representative of K-Community Festival that was held in Brusela last October, will perform the representation of traditional Korean dance accompanied by traditional costumes.
19:00 - 19:30 MOTIVATIONAL TALK: HOW IT IS TO LIVE IN KOREA
Guillermo Ortega of ICEX Alumni, will share their experiences in the Asian country with all attendees. In addition, ICEX Alumni authorities will explain how ICEX scholarships are applied and what they consist of.
19:30 - 20:00 TAEKWONDO DEMONSTRATION
Taekwondo is the quintessential Korean sport. Therefore, there will be a performance of this type of martial arts focused on self-defense.
20:00 - 21:45 K-POP SPACE
The K-pop Space has different activities. First, there will be a talk-show by the Spanish K-Pop YouTuber SisiuveMustDie. He will then be the host of the performances of the artist Hyemin, the first K-Pop singer established in Spain, and the GeoPrism cover dance group, winners of multiple national competitions.
21:45 - 20:00 DRAWINGS
Tickets to the event can be rewarded, as it will carry a number with which you can win different products that will be raffled. Among the prizes to be won are a pair of shoes in collaboration with Kolca, the first Korean sneakers brand that arrives in Spain, Korea's first travel guide in Spanish or a K-Beauty set. These are some of the prizes that will be awarded in these draws.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
In addition to these activities, we will have others that will be present throughout the event. For example, traditional games workshops, Korean magnet workshops, talcomania workshop and Korean writing workshop. As if this were not enough, attendees can demonstrate their musical skills with a Noraebang area.
With all this it is hoped to spread South Korean culture more in the capital of our country and that attendees enjoy this unique project. ‘Echoes of Korea’ commitment to an event in which everything related to Hallyu is collected in the same place with a program full of activities for all audiences, including the smallest of the house.
